FESTIVAL MARKET ACTIVITIES – Saturday 9th

DEMONSTRATION TENT
From 1030am -130pm you can experience short talks about, demonstrations with and tastings of local produce and products. Hear from producers such as Bent Shed, Flat Out Produce and Prana Produce.
FUN & COFFEE AT PHIL’S EMPORIUM AND OP SHOP
Pop around to Phil’s to grab a bargain from the op shop and an awesome cup of Village Coffee Roastary coffee. There will also be an up-cycled plant stall and vintage books. From 10am-2pm, try your hand at good old fashioned scarecrow making. Phil’s Emporium and Op Shop will be happy to lend you a hand to stuff and dress your scarecrow with pre-loved Fashion and lots of Hay!


THE IMAGINATION STATION
The Imagination Station is exactly that! A place for your imagination and sense of curiosity around food consumption, production and community resilience come together in a playful learning environment with improv troupe, Surrealia, war stories and more. The Imagination Station will host a game colab from 11am -1pm and history talks 10-11am and 1-2pm.
TRADITIONAL UKRAINIAN EASTER EGG PAINTING
Come along and learn about the traditional Ukrainian Easter art of egg decorating ‘Pysanky’, an old folk art dating back to the 17th century from the Hutsul (Carpathian Mountains) region. Patterns used symbolise things such as prosperity, bountiful crops, fertility, health and protection. Eggs and the unique tools needed to carry out this art form will be available on the day. Come along, decorate an egg and celebrate the vibrant tradition with proceeds going to charity to help those displaced by the war.


WICKING BED DEMONSTATRATION
Wicking beds are a low maintenance type of garden bed, and there are many different ways of making them. Chris from Roogulli Farm has been doing research on the best way to build them and will be displaying various options and talking about his research results.
